My Comfort Food During Lockdown: Spicy Instant Noodles with Sausage & Egg

 

 

During the early days of lockdown, when everything felt uncertain, I turned to the one thing that never let me down — instant noodles. This plate was my go-to comfort food: stir-fried instant noodles topped with sliced sausages, chopped green chili, a soft egg, and a touch of sautéed cabbage.

It might not be fancy, but it brought warmth and satisfaction when the world felt cold and distant.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pack of instant noodles (fried version)

  • 2 sausages, sliced

  • 1 egg (boiled or half-fried)

  • A few slices of green chili (optional, for spiciness)

  • A handful of cabbage, lightly sautéed

  • Cooking oil, water

Instructions:

  1. Boil the noodles for 2–3 minutes, drain, and set aside.

  2. Heat a little oil in a pan, stir-fry the sausages, cabbage, and chili.

  3. Add the noodles and seasoning from the packet. Stir well.

  4. Top with a boiled egg or sunny-side-up. Serve warm.

Tip: Use chopsticks for the full cozy experience!

Makanan Andalan Saat Pandemi: Mi Goreng Pedas dengan Sosis dan Telur

Di awal masa pandemi, ketika semuanya terasa tidak pasti, saya mengandalkan satu hal yang selalu bisa dipercaya: mi instan. Sepiring mi ini menjadi makanan andalan saya — mi goreng dengan topping sosis iris, cabai hijau, telur rebus, dan sedikit kol tumis.

Memang bukan makanan mewah, tapi cukup untuk menghadirkan rasa hangat dan kenyamanan di masa sulit.


Bahan-bahan:

  • 1 bungkus mi instan goreng

  • 2 buah sosis, diiris

  • 1 butir telur (rebus atau ceplok)

  • Irisan cabai hijau secukupnya (jika suka pedas)

  • Sedikit kol, ditumis ringan

  • Minyak goreng dan air

Langkah-langkah:

  1. Rebus mi selama 2–3 menit, tiriskan.

  2. Tumis sosis, kol, dan cabai hijau.

  3. Masukkan mi dan bumbu instan, aduk rata.

  4. Sajikan dengan telur rebus atau ceplok di atasnya.
